Maximizing Your Networking Potential: Cultivating Connections with Confidence

In this practical workshop, students will explore the key behaviours associated with establishing rapport and connection when meeting someone new at a career fair, coffee chat, recruitment event, informational interview, etc. From effectively communicating your personal strengths and career goals to understanding intercultural nuances, participants will practice strategies for establishing meaningful connections that leave an impact. Through engaging activities and reflection, participants will identify authentic relationship-building techniques while creating confidence in their professional networking abilities.

Through this workshop, students will;

  • Explore the key behaviours associated with establishing rapport and connection when meeting someone new
  • Learn how intercultural communication can impact relationship building and networking moments
  • Practice communicating their strengths and goals in a clear and concise manner
