Line up for the 3 pointer! Drop the puck! And meet you at the 50 yard line! THE GLOVES ARE OFF FOR THIS BALLROOM BATTLE!

Our FREE olympic-themed kiki ball will be centre court at the luxurious Kimmel Family Field House of U of T’s Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, open to ALL to watch and/or compete, beginners welcome! Win up to a $200 cash prize in this runway competition, categories below.

The event will feature a special beginner friendly vogue dance workshop* before the ball led by none other than THE Legendary House Mother Snoopy of the Kiki House of Disney (@itz_snoopy).

Vogue Workshop*: 4-6 p.m.
Doors: 6:30 p.m.
Legends, Statements, and Stars (LSS): 7 p.m. SHARP
Kiki Ball: 7:30 p.m.

*Registration for pre-ball vogue workshop required, as spots are limited. Registration opens February 1, 2024. 

No registration required for the main event, starting at 7 p.m.

Beginner Runway
Lisa Leslie has made four consecutive Olympic appearances and has earned four gold medals. Michael Jordan was a two-time Olympic gold medalist, including the 1992 Dream Team. Bring it in a basketball Jersey from any team of your choice.
Overall winner: $25 gift card and trophy

Beginner Vogue
Canada’s women’s soccer team triumphed at the Tokyo Olympics. We are excited to see what they have in store for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Bring it in a red and/or white soccer look.
Overall winner: $25 gift card and trophy

Bazar
Ring, Podiums, and a Torch… all symbols of the Olympics. Combine these three items to inspire your Bazaar Olympic look.
Overall winner: $150 visa gift card and trophy

Face
Jessie Owen, Donovan Bailey, Shari Jackson, and Noah Lyles are some of the many black athletes to dominate track and field. Thier excellence has lead them to podiums and they shall always be celebrated.
You have just won your medal and it’s time for your photo op. Make sure there is face and smile is ON with your track suit, medal, and flowers.

Performance
Game, set, match! Serena Williams is undoubtably the G.O.A.T. when it comes to tennis as well as an Olympic medalist. In honour of her last outfit before retiring, bring it in a black and gold tennis effect. Racquet not required.

Realness
At 16 years old, Zoie Brogdon is breaking barriers by encouraging black visability in this white-dominated sport. As a lover of horses, bring it in an equestrian inspired look.

Runway
Nzingha Prescod, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Darryl Homer, Jason Pryor, and Miles Chamley-Watson.
These medalists have made a name for themselves in the world of fencing. It is truly amazing to see them take up space in this sport. In your all-white fencing inspired outfit, lunge, parry and strut your way down the runway to eliminate your opponents.

Plus a $25 gift card and medal for the winners of each category: All American, European

Best Dressed – Red/White/Blue
Straight off the runways of France and the hosting country for the 2024 Olympics, bring it in an Oliver Rousteing (Creative director of Balmain) inspired look with the colours of the French Flag. Please bring a photo reference.
