Appointment of Director, Division of Engineering Science

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Natalie Enright Jerger as Director, Division of Engineering Science for a five-year term, from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2028.

Natalie joined The Edward S. Rogers Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2009 and was promoted to associate professor in 2014 and full professor in 2017. Since July 2022, she has held the role of Associate Chair, Years 1 and 2 in Engineering Science.

Natalie holds the title of Canada Research Chair in Computer Architecture and has received several awards and honors, including Engineering Institute of Canada Fellow (2023) and IEEE Fellow (2021), to name a few. She is also actively involved in improving diversity and inclusion within the computer architecture community.Please join me in welcoming Natalie into the role of Director and thanking her for her continued leadership to the Division and to the Faculty.

On behalf of the Faculty, I also extend my gratitude to Professor Peter Grant who served as the Interim Director of Engineering Science since January 1, 2023. An additional thanks to the members of the Engineering Science Director Search Advisory Committee.
